Spring Break = Fishing!

This weekend I was on my spring break/ Easter vacation. It was only Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday but it was enough time to go fishing. Friday and Saturday I had to work all day into the night so no fishing was done on those days but I did find time to get all my fishing shit together. But Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday I was fishing.

So Sunday was Easter and I had to work in the morning until 2:30. So when I got off work I grabbed my little spinning rod got my little sister and picked up my friend Chris and out the door we went. We went to a creek they had recently stocked (I was part of it on a field trip for the school) called Young Women's Creek. We went up to the left hand branch and fished there for a little while. But we didn't catch a thing. So later that night we got a shit ton of people and went out to the Alvin R. Bush Dam. I caught a stringer full of nice sized blue gill then we had to head out because it was getting to dark.

Monday my girlfriend, my little sister, and I went and did some fishing I thought since my girlfriend could watch my little sister I could wander off and do some fly fishing with my new Slinger Fly Rod that I got for Christmas. But that was a no go I fished for a little while in between being called over every 10 minutes because my little sister or girlfriend had a fish on. got snagged or my little sister needed a worm. So I was pretty much BABYSITTING! So we called it quits for the day.

Tuesday I had to go back to school but I didn't have to work later on that evening. So I packed up the fly rod and spinning rod threw in the muck boots and vest and right after school I was ready to go. Well if it's not one thing it's another and it started to pour and we got a thunder storm. So I had to sit it out for a little bit, then finally I went out. I went up to fish the Left Hand Branch of Young Women's Creek again. I went out for about an hour until I realized I had to pick my brother up from baseball practice. Come to find out someone already took him home. So I decided to head out the Liedy Fields and fish out there. I fished for about three hours until dark but didn't catch a damn thing. I know the water is cold and all the campers that came up for the first couple weeks of trout have almost fished out most of the streams. But my dad and I are going out Thursday and I'm heading out Friday to see if we can't get a nice trout on the line hopefully all goes well.

Also now the trout season has opened up I'm going to be posting more on the blog so hopefully I didn't lose anyone over my little break.
