On The Water With My Dad

Today was the first day I could actually fish with my dad. We have both been busy with work that we hadn't had time to do the thing we love to do together the most, be in the outdoors. We kind have gotten i late start because he had to go to the DMV for his license but we still got out. Also we head to be back in before 4 O'clock because I had to work. But it was still nice to get on the water with him. We packed up the rods got some gas and cigarettes and went off on our way. We went up to Leidy in Clinton County and fished there for about three hours. He had his brand new spinning rod and I used my Slinger Fly Rod. We didn't catch anything but it was just the fact that I was on the water with him. My dad and I are pretty close because we like to do some of the same things together like hunting whitetails and fishing for trout. And being in the outdoors with my dad even if we get anything or not is ten times better than going out by myself and catching my limit every time or bringing in a nice 24" palomino. So tomorrow my girlfriend and I are going to try at it again. I don't know what it is this year but the fish are just not biting but tomorrow is another day to take a whack at it. So wish me luck tomorrow. And take your dad out on the water or in the woods because those memories may be the best memories you'll ever have in your life.
