Slow Day Of Fishing

Yesterday my girlfriend and I went out to the Bush Dam to go do a little fishing. We went to our hot spot but it was kind of a bust. Last Friday the dam got flooded and the water was all the way up toward the road because of all the rain we have gotton that week. So the water was high but that didn't stop us from fishing. I threw on a crappie jig and caught two tiny bass. She used worms and caught one bluegill. Then my buddies came out and we moved to a different spot. So I pulled out the fly rod and fished for bluegills. Nobody was catching anything on worms but I thought I would try a popper and a san juan worm. The bluegills were hitting the worm like crazy. I caught six fish, my girlfriend had one, and my friend Chris had one. the other kid didn't catch a thing. So I can't wait to go back out and swing some more flies.
