Putting On A Show

Everyone says that there's a first for everything. Well today was a first for me, I went to my favorite bluegill spot at the Alvin R. Bush Dam and was minding my own business fishing (like I always do). When I had a couple in a canoe come right up next to me while I was fly fishing, and parked their boat right next to me. They got all ready to go until the lady said " Lets go over there and watch that guy fish." I continued to fly fish making sure they weren't getting to close that I would hit them or something.

Then shortly after I had caught a nice sized bluegill and a nice perch a older guy came up to me and asked the dumbest questions as I fly fished. "You using a fly?" I just looked at him and told him what I was using. You could tell that he didn't know anything about fly fishing but I just fished and let him watch me.

So the saying there's a first for everything was true for me today. That was the first time I had an audience when I fished. Also That not all old guys that wear waders and a fishing vest when they fish know how to swing a fly.
