No Fish = Great Day?

 Today Marissa and I went out and did some fishing. She's trying to learn how to fly fish and doing pretty good. We went and did some bluegill/bass fishing today at my favorite dam. We didn't have any luck not even a hit. We must have fished for about 3 hours and the heat got to us. So we went down the road to a little creek called Leidy.

  We saw some trout rising so we thought we would tie on some dry flies. We waded in the water for a bit and nothing hit the flies. But we saw our first otters. We've never seen an otter before and we thought it was the coolest thing in the world. The otters were playing around us while we fished popping up everywhere we looked. Then we saw some duckling skipping across the water like we weren't even there.

  After all that we thought we would go to a secret hole that Marissa has fished at. At first we didn't think there was anything there. But then trout were jumping out of the water like you would believe. They were jumping even 2 feet in front of me while I was wading in the water. They would come up and hit or flies with their heads and and go back down before we could set the hook. It was awesome I've never seen something that cool in a long time.

  So we might not have caught any fish but we witnessed mother nature at her finest between trout jumping out of the water to otters playing around us while we fished it was a great day.
